About Us
Dream Stonington was created to make it easy to spend time on the water aboard beautiful yachts and leave the maintenance, supervision of contractors and provisioning to us.
Whether it’s celebrating the end of the day on Dream or having your yacht provisioned for a family cruise, our goal is to enjoy being on the water, give you more time using your yacht and less time dealing with all the stuff that makes a boat a boat.
The owners have sailed in and out of Stonington for a combined 100 years, and sailed, raced and cruised all over the world in everything from dinghies to a classic J boat. We have owned boats for years, learned best practices from experience, know the best yacht specialists in the area and are here to help you.
Peter Cronin, our captain is a 100-ton USCG captain and has managed yachts, made deliveries, and captained day excursions on an 85 ft schooner in Newport. Peter heads our operations.

About Captain
Peter Cronin
Peter Cronin grew up on the waters of Fishers Island Sound, where he developed a lifelong connection to the ocean and a passion for boating. After graduating from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, he earned his 100 Ton USCG Captain’s License and began running private charters that same year.
During the winter months, Peter has worked aboard private vessels as captain, delivering boats, and managing high-performance luxury catamarans along the East Coast and throughout the Caribbean, from Maine to Panama.
At Dream Yachts, Peter oversees operations, including charters, vessel management, and owner services. His hands-on experience across a wide range of vessels—from 98-foot schooners to 28’ Hinckley’s—allows him to approach each boat with a practical, detail-oriented mindset. He works closely with trusted vendors, builders, and technicians to ensure every vessel is maintained and operated to a high standard.
Peter is known for being straightforward, reliable, and highly attentive to detail—qualities that carry through in both vessel operations and client experience.
